Meet Br. Maximilian
Today, Br. Maximilian departs for Chicago for 4 months to work at St. Joseph’s Home with the Little Sisters of the Poor in Palatine, Illinois. He hopes to gain experience with gerontological health care. We wish him the best and look forward to his return in April. Br. Maximilian was scheduled to leave yesterday morning, but his flight was cancelled due to the poor weather.

Reason for choosing your monastic name: St. Maximilian Kolbe was the first saint I did research on, and his life fascinated me, especially his Marian devotion.
Best memory when you were younger: On October 11, 2003 Missouri beat Nebraska in football for the first time in twenty seven years.

What is the best way to go about discerning one’s vocation?
Go to Adoration and Mass as much as possible, and listen to the voice of the Lord with your heart.
