Seminarian Dodgeball Tournament
The seminarians showed up in droves for the Dodgeball Tournament. Organized by a group of seminarians, I had the privilege of reffing this tournament that involved high power competition and pleasant reprieve from the cold winter weather. I offered to referee and give direction on how to organize the tournament since I have had past experience with various athletic events.
After multiple games of round robin play, the teams competed in a single elimination bracket. The “Purple Cobras” emerged victorious in this year’s tournament. Seminary Dodgeball tournaments have been pretty popular winter activities since 2005. For a couple of years, the monks even had a team of six that competed with the seminarians. And, when I was a novice, our monastic team actually won the tournament.
