Seminary Sports
It was in the mid to upper 40’s today, which in January seems warm. The freshmen and sophomores in the college play team sports twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday afternoon. When I was a junior monk, I facilitated Team Sports for three years. Now, Br. Justin is in charge of organizing games for the seminarians. Today they played soccer outside, even though parts of the field are still covered in snow.
Meanwhile, inside the gymnasium, Coach Skip Shear continues to work with the CSC basketball team. The Mundelein Seminary Shootout begins on Friday, so the team will travel to Chicago on Thursday. Their first game is at 8:00pm on Friday evening and will play at least two games on Saturday. Hopefully, the team will play Sunday morning in the championship game, but all of that is yet to be determined.\
